I would hope Westfield are, but I guess they need a cash boost now to sort out temporary facilities etc, I imagine they will not see a pay out for some time yet.

Totally agree Ming, Mr.Walters should have been aware what he was taking on.....I think the legal term is 'caveat emptor '.....let the buyer beware. PerhapsMr.Nessling should have advised him of the situation. As for negative thoughts that Goodfella accuses you of ,I have already pencilled in April 24th Margate away, last game of the season, for the 3 points that will keep us in this league.

Interesting stuff from Dave Nessling on the main site, but does it tell us anything we didn't already know. It also includes this gem.
'When the current Chairman purchased the Club, it was unlikely he was aware of the history in terms of content of leases, and the Council's stance. Yes, he would have taken on the full repairing lease, but he was unlikely to have realised just what detrimental impact that might have on the Club's finances in the future.'
I'm afraid ignorance isn't a defence! Anyone who has been to the PF over a number of years would be well aware of the 'detrimental impact' the state of the ground is going to have on the finances. Interesting to see the local MP getting involved, and now that he's a member of the government maybe he could ease some of the Libyan blood money our way!

Phil, if i had the money i think i just might invest in the club at the present time, especialy if there were many more keen life long supporters who had money they would be prepared to lose if all went tits up. When is the time to buy share's? Normally when they are low isn't it , if a club was really doing well it would take a lot more money to take it over. So on that basis i would say yes i would invest .

Peter, no idea if any Consortium are still interested, but can I turn the question around....if you had the money, and I'm not sure how much we are talking about, would you invest money in Hastings United at the present time ?

Does anybody know if the consortium are still in a position to step into the breach should mr walters bail out ?. I personaly think this would be the best out come for the club. I believe mr walters is doing his best so i'm not going to slate him , but i think a consortium based with people with a life times experience in non league football all pulling together with no one person pulling the strings would be much better. The only thing is in these turbulent times do the consortium still have the funds .?
